Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center

Yellowstone River
A tributary of the Missouri, Yellowstone River winds down from the Rocky Mountains to the plains of Wyoming and Montana. At the head of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, two gigantic waterfalls power over the rocky shelves. Spectacular fly fishing on the upper reaches draws fishing enthusiasts from all over the world.
Earthquake Lake
"Quake Lake" as it's commonly known, was created in 1959 after an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale caused an 80 million ton landslide, forming a dam on the Madison River. With earth traveling down Sheep Mountain at a hundred miles an hour, it was the most powerful seismic activity to occur in Montana since ancient times.
Yellowstone Historic Center
Since its founding, Yellowstone has been drawing great numbers of visitors. This informative museum preserves the heritage of the first travelers here through interactive displays, rare artifacts, educational speeches and walking tours.
Hebgen Lake
During the same earthquake that formed Quake Lake, Hebgen's waters were forced to shift violently, forming a huge wave that surmounted Hebgen Dam. Today it is a stunning placid lake, reflecting the thick forest that hugs the lakeshore.
