Loyola has its own underground station on the red line of the CTA network. Trains run 24 hours a day at Lake Station, which connects with the CTA network. By bus, Lake Shore Campus is served by buses 147 and 151 from downtown Chicago. The university is 14 miles east of O'Hare International Airport.
Get a different perspective on Loyola Campus from the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower in downtown Chicago, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Brave visitors can step into the glass box on the side of the tower, 1,353 feet in the air. On a clear day, you can see four states and as far as 50 miles in all directions.
Just north of the university campus is Loyola Beach, an eight-block stretch of sand that's perfect for sunbathing in warmer months or lakeside walks when it gets chillier. Walk a short distance north from the parking lot to escape the crowds and enjoy expansive views of Lake Michigan and the city's skyscrapers.
