Around 90% of DePaul students commute into campus each day, so public transport is geared up to move them efficiently around the city. The Red Line train runs between the Loop and Lincoln Park campus. From downtown, take the subway to Fullerton for the DePaul Lincoln Park campus.
Just a few blocks to the east of campus is the city's huge Lincoln Park. Bordering Lake Michigan, the 1,208 acre park offers a seven mile stretch of beaches, parkland, nature reserves, and gardens. Don't miss the Mausoleum marking the oldest section of the park which was first used as a cemetery around 200 years ago.
Chicago's Navy Pier offers the city's largest concentration of attractions housed on a 3,300 foot pier extending into Lake Michigan. Kids will love the Chicago Children's Museum, and in good weather, the fountains at Polk Bros Park. Older visitors can catch a movie at the IMAX cinema, take a trip on the enormous wheel for views over the city, or just shop or grab a meal at one of the many shops, restaurants, and bars.
