In the heart of the designated Kaufman Arts District you'll find the Museum of the Moving Image which houses America's largest collection of moving-image artifacts. It also screens films all-year round. Just next door is the 1920s Kaufman Astoria Studios, a reminder of Astoria's movie-making heritage.
A short walk from the studios lies the Noguchi Museum, paying homage to the Japanese-American landscape architect and artist, Isamu Noguchi. Across the street is the visually astonishing Socrates Sculpture Park which often hosts outdoor film screenings, farmers' markets and large-scale exhibitions.
