With four miles of riverfront, two golf courses, an aquatic center, miles of running and cycling trails, and 30 city parks, Palm Bay’s outdoors beckons. Castaway Point Park offers visitors a chance to view Florida wildlife along the Indian River Lagoon. While there, you can also take advantage of the picnic areas, the fishing dock, and the walking trails.
Also, make sure to head to Turkey Creek Sanctuary. Manatees, otters, turtles, and many birds inhabit the areas in and around Turkey Creek. This 130-acre park is open daily from 7 AM until sunset. Admission is free. The sanctuary has a boardwalk, hiking trail, and mountain bike trail. There’s also a dock where you can launch a kayak or canoe.
